Padding/surgery: Plantar fibromatosis is a condition where you have nodules or fibromas along the plantar fascia. The fibromas do not really go away but may get bigger with pressure or trauma. You can try padding your insoles to alleviate pressures but surgery is the only way to get rid of the fibromas.

A few: There is a topical preparation of verapamil (normally a high blood pressure medication) that can help, sometimes docs inject these with steroid, and if all else fails they can be excised. It would be prudent to biopsy though and not assume its a plantar fibroma even if it "looks" like one and is in the right location. Better safe then sorry.
