How effective is laser resurfacing for acne?

Not Resurfacing: Various lasers are effective to treat acne. After the acne has resolved, resurfacing lasers may be used to reduce the appearance of acne scars.

Wrong choice: Laser resurfacing fixes acne scars, not acne. For acne scars, it can work great. It usually takes more than one treatment, and it takes time to see the results, but it works well. Other lasers and ipl devices can be used to treat acne. The procedures are not the same or even similar. If somebody tells you that a single treatment will do both, run away.
