Is it normal to find blood in my baby's diaper?

No: It is not normal to have blood in the baby's diaper, although it may not always be something "serious". Check with your doctor. Causes can include protein allergy, hard stools, rectal fissures, vaginal bleeding, diaper rash or "false blood" caused by foods or crystals in the diaper. If in doubt, try to bring the diaper to the doctor with you, for testing.

No: No. This can be many things and several if them are potentially fine and several are not ok. Get an appt with your physician asap to look into this. Is it urine or stool? Urine may look 'brick dust' red for first few days of like due to babies having a lot of uric acid crystals in pee. Blood in pee may also be other bad things. In poop, it can be simple like from a slight tear from hard poop.
