i have had ear pain for about a week. what could it be?

Ear issues: It may simply be that the eustachian tubes are blocked due to swelling or fluid behind the ears. It should resolve on its own but if it does not you should see your pcp for a possible ear drum rupture. You could also be suffering from an inner or outer ear infection in which may need to be treated.
