A member asked:

What are the long term prognoses for nephritis in conjunction with high bp?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on treatment: There are different forms of nephritis and all are associated with hypertension. The prognosis of a specific form of nephritis depends on response to treatment. Usual forms of treatment include a variety of iimunosuppressive medications such as prednisone, mycophenlic acid, tacrolimus or prednisone. A return of kidney function to near normal is associated with a goood prognosis.
