Chest pain = ER: All chest pain, especially unfamiliar chest pain, should be evaluated in an er by ekg, blood work, and physician exam. Time is tissue and anyone who may be having a heart attack should be evaluated as soon as possible.

Not necessarily: There are many factors involved to determine whether it a heart problem or not. Age, sex, family history of heart disease, hypercholesterolemia, other underlying causes diabetes, obesity etc. Having said that, at least you need to see your doctor if the pain persists.
