Unknown cause: Gastric cancer may be related to a gastric infection termed helicobacter pyloris. Some relate it to diet as well. Most cancers are of unknown origin. A stage 4 cancer is likely to have been one that had earlier symptoims that were neglected by a 43 year old person.
