Several: Using the patient's own tissue has the obvious advantage of coming from the patient. The con is that this tissue has to be harvested, either from the abdominal wall or upper thigh, necessitating additional incisions and longer operating time. Using a porcine graft (either dermis or small intestine submucosa) has comparable results, shortens procedure length and decreases incisions.
