Maturation: The first sign if puberty in boys is testicular enlargement. Either before or after this starts, boys will develop pubic and underarm hair, body odor, and acne. Penile enlargement, voice changes, and facial hair usually ensue as the testes get larger. Pubertal boys eat and grow a lot as they put on more bone and muscle weight also.
