A member asked:

Is there a way to safely fast? (for religious reasons)

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Carefully: What is safe may depend on your personal health status, so if there are serious doubts consulting your primary care doc and posibly a dietician would be wise. Staying hydrated and drinking enough fluids can be important. Brief fasts benign for most, but as fasts are longer, the more you would want to check with your doc if your have any particular health risks.
