Yes: Definitely. There are many complications associated with smoking in pregnancy. Perhaps the most common is low-birth weight. This is not a desirable effect, as it probably results from a reduction in blood flow to the baby when the nicotine constricts the diameter of your arteries.

Yes & here's how:: Your fetus will be a passive smoker, which can cause a decrease in gray matter& atypical development of white matter in the fetal brain. Consequences can be adhd, decreased iq, learning & behavior problems. Once born, your baby will be a passive smoker, as it clings to your clothes even if you go outside to smoke.. www.aap.org.
