Will applying rubbing alcohol to my legs before shaving help avoid razor bumps? what can else can i do? i have very sensitive skin

Unlikely: Razor bumps are due to irritation from shaving and ingrown hairs. Rubbing alcohol can dry out the skin and irritate sensitive skin even more. Try a fresh blade, shaving in direction of hair growth, use a thin layer of shaving cream, and gently exfoliate periodically. Sometimes depilatories or laser hair removal & not shaving at all gives the best relief & prevention!

Razor bumps: 1. Keep legs exfoliated 2.Make sure your legs are wet for several minutes before shaving 3. Find a razor that feels good in your hand and on your legs with the amount of pressure you use. Triple blades often work nicely. 4. Change the blade frequently! nothing dulls a blade like shaving legs with it. 5. Shave against the growth 6. Do not use irritants like alcohol 7. Apply a moisturizer at nite.
