A member asked:

What is the difference between being numb and getting that "pins and needles" feeling?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

There is a difference: True numbness is the absence of any sensation. Tingling is usually based on some type of irritation of the nerve root. However the nerve is still functioning and has sensation.
