Psoriasis: Differentiating scalp psoriasis from scalp sebohheic dermatitis can be difficult. Although treatments for mild cases are similar, oral immunosuppressants may be required to treat scalp psoiasis. Step one, see a dermatologist if otc medications are not working. Psoriasis is more likely if: rash extends below the scalp-line of if rash is also present on elbows, kneees, hands and feet.
