Types of adhd: No. A person can have adhd withou hyperactivity. There are a number of different types of adhd. These are: predominantly inattentive type, pred hyperactive/impulsive type and combined type. The disorder got relabeled a number of years back. Used to be called add and adhd; whereby, the latter consisted of hyperactivity while the former did not.

No: The majority of the time there is some component of hyperactivity, but it is possible to have adhd, inattentive sub-type, without any hyperactivity. This variant is relatively more common in girls. Also, the hyperactivity component of adhd more often decreases with age than the inattentive problems, so an adult is also relatively more likely to have this variant.

Nope : Add is a neurobiologic condition that impacts executive control. Management of brain activities is under executive control. So hyperactivity is physical movement that isn't properly controlled. Underactivity is the same as over activity from neurologic perspective. Some add people are overactive, some are underactjve. Hyperactivity is not necessary for an add diagnosis.
