No: More commonly due to spasm in lower colon. However, sudden change in stool caliber, "pencil thin" stools, cramps, bleeding, nausea, weight loss need evaluation. Ongoing symptoms need evaluation. At the least, this should involve a doctor visit, perhaps other tests.
