IVIg reactiions: There are many possible explanations for irritation at the site of ivig infusion in the skin. Many experts feel that this may come from aggregation of immunoglobulin molecules that are capable of activating the blood proteins called "complement". Other times, skin reactions may occur as an allergic reaction to a component of the ivig.
