A member asked:

What's the difference between a normal echocardiogram as opposed to stress echocardiogram?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Echo: An echocardiogram is an ultrasound of your heart to evaluate structure and function. A normal transthoracic echo is done with you lying on your back. A stress echo is conducted with you "under stress" - at our institution it is done while patient is cycling.
