Leukopenia: Leukopenia is the exact medical name. When all the blood counts are low, it is called pancytopenia. If the red blood cell count is low, it is anemia. Low platelets is thrombocytopenia.

Leukopenia: The generic term for a low WBC count is leukopenia. But there are several different types of white cells and a decrease in each of them can cause leukopenia. If the neutrophils are decreased, it is called neutropenia, lymphocytes - lymphopenia, monocytes - monocytopenia, etc.
