Good diagnosis: The crossbite should be treated as soon as possible by an orthodontist. Depending on the diagnosis, the upper jaw can be advanced, the lower teeth retracted or a combination of both involving orthodontics and/or surgery.

See an Orthodontist: Depending on the severity of your underbite & crossbite you may be able to achieve a good correction with only braces or invisalign. However, the more severe cases may need jaw surgery along with your braces to reach an acceptable result. Your orthodontist will be able to tell you which treatment plan is best in your particular case. Remember most orthodontists do free initial consults.
