Pain behind thigh: Pain, often described as sharp, shooting in the back of the thigh, is the main symptom after a hamstring injury. Weakness and inability to flex at knee or bend at the waist toward the toes is also a common complaint. Rest, ice and decreased hip and knee flexion will help decrease acute pain. Physicl therapy may be indictedo help expedite functionl recovery as well.
