Why?: There rise no reason to make oneself vomit. If you have taken an overdose or been poisoned call poison control 1-800-222-1222. Do not use ipecac just to make yourself vomit.

Why ???: Ipecac at proper doses can trigger vomiting. However, it has also been shown toxic to the heart, and most pharmacies have removed it from the shelves. It has been identified as a drug of abuse by those with eating disorders. If you find some online and want to risk permanent heart damage, you are doing so against medical advice.
