A member asked:

Why does the norovirus sometimes cause vomiting only and sometime diarrhoea only instead of always both?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Norovirus: Symptoms caused by any infection can vary; not all expected symptoms are always present. Norovirus infection can cause dehydration very quickly if both vomiting and diarrhea occur together. Having one and not both can make treating the condition a little easier.
