I am sorry: My condolences for our plight. Norovirus is a common cause of gastroenteritis with symptoms of vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. The illness is usually of short duration in most people, but can cause more prolonged and serious illness in young children and the elderly (both of whom may lack adequate immunity against the virus) and immunosuppressed patients (i.e., cancer).
