Many : Fish ol supplements are not controlled, so it's "russian roulette" when choosing one over the counter. Prescription fish oils are properly controlled & are more reliable. Lovaza is prescription grade fish oils with the proper amount of docosahaenoic and eicosapentaenoic acids with assured purity & free from toxic substances that can accumulate in sea fish.

One that is tested : Many fish oil supplements are available commercially. Two currently by prescription and fda reviewed, however, there are many others that are as high, if not higher quality, the problem is that it may be difficult to sort this out for most people. Discuss with your physician, and ask about dose also . How much epa/dha is in a capsule, not fish oil, and not in a "serving". Labels can be misleading.

Only two: Are tested by a government agency so you know the purity: Lovaza and Vascepa. They both lower high triglycerides well and EPA Vascepa also lowers LDL cholesterol, although not as well as statins
