A member asked:

9 months after exposure i tested negative for hiv. am i ok or is there still a chance i caught it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Very slim: A handful of persons have been documented as converting from negative to positive 12 months after an occupational (non-sexual) exposure to hiv. Most individuals who become infected will have a positive test by three months after the exposure, many even sooner.
