Other holistic systems of medicine include acupuncture and ayurveda, but these have different backgrounds.

Scope of treatment: Homeopathic medicine uses small doses of substances that would create the symptoms being treated. Holistic medicine aims at providing whatever the patient needs to support their health and healing, which might include homeopathic medicine. Pharmaceuticals, nutrition, counseling, bodywork, acupuncture, etc.
