Some, but not all: Some homeopathic medicines are made from plants. Some are also made from mineral and animal substances -- so all three major kingdoms are involved. Homeopathic medicines are prepared very differently from herbal tinctures, though. The process allows them to affect living systems at the level of energy -- which humans share with every other thing in the universe.

Sort of.: Herbs are a common starting component of many homeopathic products, but minerals, animal products, metals and other things are used. However, none of these substances are actually in any homeopathic product once it's finished, so the products aren't really "made" of anything except usually some sugar, water, and or alcohol.
