What happens if you give somebody nitroglycerin for a stroke?

Try to avoid this: Potentially ntg can drop the blood pressure which is the last thing you want to do to someone having a stroke (this will underperfuse the damaged area in the brain and extend the stroke). Ntg should only be given for a clear indication and with close monitoring of blood pressure in a setting that can reverse the effects if necessary ie a hospital, during a stroke.
