A member asked:

When a doctor says "drink plenty of fluids" does it have to be just water?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No.: We generally mean fluids in the mechanical sense. Something to keep you hydrated. If you are diabetic or have impaired fasting glucose it is probably not a great idea to overload on glucose containing fluids.
