A member asked:

What are the symptoms of gastrointestinal bleeding in a male?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Black or bloody : Stools, if you have black, really foul smelling stools then it's usually an upper GI bleed and if there is frank blood in the stool then it's likely a lower GI bleed. Also, blood is a cathartic which means you may have very loose stools as well.
