See your provider: Dentist and orthodontist are trained to be able to tell you if you need them. Some people need them and other would benefit from them. If your teeth are crowded, overlapping and mis-aligned you need them if they are slightly turned or a little spaced you may benefit.

Brace consultation: The best thing to do is get a consultation with an orthodontist to talk about your options.

Not a need, a choice: Orthodontics has many wonderful aspects: it creates beautiful smiles, wonderful facial proportions and healthy teeth that are most easily cleaned. The increase in self-esteem can be life changing... But braces are fundamentally elective. No one "needs" braces. Life is full of crucial priorities and choices. Orthodontics is a real investment in esthetics and function. Speak with an orthodontist!

See an orthodontist: An orthodontic consult will address your concerns and some you may not be aware of. Most orthodontists will take complimentary look at you and give you an opinion. So nothing to lose, but crooked teeth...
