Can caesarian delivery and respiratory distress syndrome be related?

Yes: Generally respiratory distress following C-section is because of fluid in the lungs that can take few hours to clear up , other times it really depends on the reason for the c section. If the C-section is done because of fetal distress it indicates there was some problem already and C-section is only incidental.
