Gradually: Withdrawal from caffeine can cause headaches and sleepiness. So gradual decrease in the amount of caffeinated coffee is the best way to stop. Try substituting decaf for caffeinated by 1/2 to 1 cup a day every few days and eventually you'll be done.

Just stop.: If you don't want to drink coffee anymore, just stop. If you drink one or two cups per day, you can stop right away and maybe experience a little bit of withdrawal (anxiety, headache). If you're one of these people who drinks like ten cups a day, you may want to cut back by maybe one cup per day until you're off it.
