REMEDY/ TOXIC GOITER: Patiens with subclinical hyperthyroidism be followed closely, exception may be women with osteopenia, and if there are risk factors for atrial fibrillation in us, radiactive iodine is the choice except in pregnancy beta blockers&antithyroidrx can be used for short period surgery may be a choice only in young patients, or with obstructive symptoms, non functioning/suspicious nodules, pregnancy&rai fa.

I131 or pills: Most endocrinologists recommend radioiodine, but some like to use pills. Unfortunately the pills rarely give you a permanent cure. Radioiodine does, but can result in hypothyroidism. Discuss with an endocrinologist.
