is it dangerous to have your tonsils removed if you are 13?

Dr. Gurmukh Singh
48 years experience Pathology
No,but why?: Why do you want to have your tonsils removed? If there is no medical reason for the procedure then it is dangerous, as is any surgical procedure. If there is a valid reason to remove the tonsils, it can be done safely at any age.
