How long does it take for a person to completely recover from abdominal surgery if staples and surtures were involved?

Variable: Most major abdominal surgery patients need about a 6 week recovery period before doing all full normal physical activities. It depends on how difficult or long the surgery may have been, and if there are any underlying medical conditions. Can return to most light activities in 1 to 2 weeks. Staples removed in about 1 o 2 weeks of surgery.
