Chronic inflammation: Ginger reduces inflammation through a variety of mechanisms & is effective for osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis & muscle soreness. Its effects are similar to nsaid's like Aspirin & Ibuprofen but it doesn't cause side effects like GI bleeding. However, whereas one might have rapid relief from nsaid's, it often takes a few days to see ginger's benefits. Please see my comment for useful links.
