Difficult question: It is really impossible to answer that question without more information. Acute and chronic pancreatitis are treated very differently.

Pancreatitis: It depend on the etiology. If it is alcoholic, stopping alcohol, if it is gallstone related, you might need an ERCP for stone extraction. It is is medication related, the offending factor need to be stopped, finally if it is related to a morphologic problem, this might need to be taken care of. In any case, consulting with a pancreas expert is recommended.
