What are some harmful things about prosthesis if doing ok with crutches?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: Learning to walk with a prosthesis takes time and practice. You cannot just strap one on and expect to walk safely. Most people do fine with a prosthesis. Some people do not do well because of pain in the residual limb. Some people get blisters or other skin breakdown. These are usually fixable problems. Some people with heart conditions may not do well with a prosthesis due to the extra effort.
