Frequently missed: Common presentation for 'locked down' rib.Pain is usually really behind shoulder.Ribs rise in front w/ inhalation & go down w/ exhalation. When 'locked down', something prevents rib from rising.Pain is exaggerated by deep inhaling like yawning.Consider a good history & phys exam, incl osteopathic hands-on exam which may determine cause.Ribs can be easily diagnosed & fixed in the office.
