"referred pain": This may be pain that is radiating from your gallbladder - called "referred pain". Pleurisy can do it too. Time to see your doctor! you need a few tests.

Frequently missed: Common presentation for 'locked down' rib.Pain is usually really behind shoulder.Ribs rise in front w/ inhalation & go down w/ exhalation.When 'locked down', something prevents rib from rising.Pain is exaggerated by deep inhaling like yawning.Consider a good history & phys exam, incl osteopathic hands-on exam which may determine cause.Ribs can be easily diagnosed & fixed in the office.
