See below: Fatty liver is essentially the abnormal deposition of fat in the liver. It can lead to inflammation and ultimately cirrhosis. The causes include alcohol, non-alcoholic fatty liver and medications. Non-alcoholic fatty liver is the most common and is related to obesity, high triglycerides, diabetes and genetic predisposition.

Weight loss: Weight loss is the best treatment for improving fatty liver. Taking vitamin e can help decrease some of the inflammation as well but for long term treatment, loose weight and keep it off.
