Gf had lap band surgery and she is having severe pain in the leg. why?

Possible DVT: Any gastric surgery enhances the risk of developing a dvt, deep venous thrombosis. If one has leg pain post-gastric bypass, a venous duplex ultrasound of each leg is mandatory, lest you develop a pulmonary embolism and die.

May be a blood clot: See your doctor right away! this may be a blood cloot.

Don't know: I'd see your surgeon. Leg pain is not a normal issue w the band.
