Can you get ra arthritis if double jointed?

See below: To set things straight there is no such thing as being "double jointed". This usually refers to people who are very flexible. These people can stretch the ligaments which support the joints and develop osteoarthritis but there is no connection between loose joints and rheumatoid arthritis which is an autoimmune condition in which the body attacks its own joints.

Certainly.: Hypermobility, or "double-jointedness" is common, is structural and inherited. Rheumatoid arthritis is autoimmune, not usually inherited and can unfortunately befall anyone, including those who are hypermobile.
