Common causes...: ...Of early hip destruction are infection, aseptic necrosis, and severe hip dysplasia. Any of these can render a teenager immobile without a new hip.

Young THA: Dysplasia, trauma, avascular change, developmental issues, among others, may make tha a good choice in a teenager. Other considerations to pelvic, acetabular, and femoral osteotomies should be entertained as well.
