24 - 72 hours: If symptoms are still there after 3-4 days, you should either take a repeat dose or get re-evaluated if you did not have testing to confirm that it is a yeast infection. Fluconazole (diflucan) is not effective against bacterial vaginosis or stds.

1-3 days: Fluconazole should alleviate symptoms of yeast infection in 24 to 72 hours. If your discharge and other symptoms you are experiencing do not go away by 3 days at the absolute latest, then it’s an indication that the medication potentially isn’t effective against your infection and that you may need a different one, and you should talk to your doctor.
