Quite a few: One hallmark of autism is impaired ability to relate to other people. In fact this is a disease characteristic. Paradoxically many autistic persons as well as others with communicate, emotional, or behavioral disorders, can relate quite well to animals. This tendency is not universal however amongst autistic patients.
