Do not worry: The symptoms of stiff neck and tinnitus (ringing awareness in the ears) may be only a viral infection. There is an entity called cervical vertigo which is related to inflammation of the neck muscles which can rarely cause the perception of sound in the ears. Try heat to the neck and an anti-inflammatory drug. If not relieved see a physiatrist (dr. Of physical medicine).
