Common as we age: Most people as they age, develop degenerative disk disease. That is why most people shrink. Your particular circumstances may be related your genes, to the work you do, how you exercise, or any other number of reasons. If it's not causing symptoms, don't worry about it if your calcium and vitamin d levels are normal.
