A member asked:

First male child born to a couple by c- section was g6pd deficient, .what about a second baby?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

G6PD deficiency: Glucose-6-phosphatase dehydrogenase (g6pd) deficiency is a genetic condition - an x-linked inherited disease that primarily affects boys. This means that a mother carries the gene that is then transmitted to her son. Future sons maybe affected but not daughters. G6pd deficiency affects all races.
